Q: What platforms are supported?

Desk Dangle runs natively on both macOS (Apple Silicon & Intel) and Windows (Windows 10 & 11). On Mac it can dangle from your menu bar or MacBook notch; on Windows it hangs cleanly from your top screen edge.

Q: Does it block my clicks?

No. Desk Dangle has 100% click-through transparency. Your mouse clicks, window drags, typing, and selections pass right through the charm without getting blocked.

Q: Does it slow my computer?

Not at all. It uses virtually zero CPU (<1%) and minimal RAM. When you run games or full-screen apps, Desk Dangle automatically pauses rendering to save battery and GPU resources.

Q: Can I use my own image?

Yep! Your pet, favorite meme, artwork, or custom PNG. If it's an image file, you can load and hang it right from your screen.

Q: Can I use a GIF or animated charm?

You can upload a GIF, but it will display as a static image (its first frame). Animated looping GIF playback isn't supported yet—transparent PNGs or WebP files look and perform the best.

Q: Does Desk Dangle collect my data?

No. Desk Dangle operates 100% offline and locally on your machine. We collect zero personal data, zero keystrokes, and zero analytics.

Q: How do I get it on Mac?

Desk Dangle v2.0.1 is live for macOS! Click the "Download for Mac" button to download the .dmg file directly, drag Desk Dangle into your Applications folder, and launch it.

Q: Mac says it can't verify the app. What do I do?

Because Desk Dangle is independently released outside the Mac App Store, macOS Gatekeeper may show a standard verification dialog on first launch. Right-click (or Control-click) Desk Dangle in Applications > click Open > click Open again. Alternatively, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
